VPS monthly or annual billing: compare the full cost
Compare monthly payments with a full annual amount before choosing a VPS. Use your expected period of use, understand the crypto invoice and check the existing refund conditions.
At a glance
Monthly totals depend on the selected period of use at the current catalogue rate. An annual order commits the full twelve-month amount; its monthly equivalent is not an instalment. Crypto invoices fix a separate payable amount for their validity window. The comparison creates no invoice or automatic pro-rata refund entitlement.
Compare monthly and annual billing
Choose the number of months you expect to need the server. Monthly totals use the current catalogue rate; the annual option charges for a full twelve-month cycle.
Choose a whole number of months from 1 to 12.
| Plan | Monthly payments over this period | Full annual payment | Annual payment compared with monthly total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Veil | $156 | $109.20 | $46.80 less |
| Shade | $396 | $277.20 | $118.80 less |
| Eclipse | $756 | $529.20 | $226.80 less |
| Obsidian | $1,416 | $991.20 | $424.80 less |
For periods shorter than twelve months, the annual column still charges twelve months. This comparison describes catalogue amounts; it does not create an invoice or guarantee an automatic pro-rata refund.
Read the refund conditions →Start with the period you actually expect to use
A server for a short experiment and one for a stable personal service have different billing needs. Decide how long you expect to need the machine and whether the workload has already been tested. A smaller upfront commitment can make sense while you are still checking the application, location and administration process.
The comparison below uses current catalogue amounts. The monthly total multiplies the current monthly price by the selected number of months. The annual column remains the full twelve-month amount, even if your expected use is shorter. It assumes the listed rates for this comparison; it is not a guarantee about future renewal prices.
Read the annual saving in context
A monthly equivalent makes an annual price easier to compare, but does not mean you can pay this annual total in monthly instalments. You pay the annual total for that billing cycle. Compare both the money committed now and the expected cost over your planned period rather than reading the lower equivalent as a monthly charge.
The lowest total for the horizon you entered is a price comparison, not a recommendation to accept a commitment you may not need. Resource requirements and the ability to operate the service still matter. Check CPU, memory, storage and transfer alongside the billing amount.
Keep the catalogue amount and crypto quote separate
Catalogue prices are in USD. The checkout uses a current conversion rate to fix the exact cryptocurrency amount on a time-limited invoice. Stablecoin rates are requested too; do not replace the displayed amount with an assumption that every token equals one dollar.
Use the asset, network, destination and expiry shown on the invoice. A new quote after expiry can have a different crypto amount. Network fees and wallet-provider charges are separate from the recipient amount. The purchase guide explains the dedicated payment page and its status.
Read the refund rules before deciding
The published policy gives the first monthly server order a cancellation window of 7 calendar days after activation. Activation means receiving access to a usable VPS; a saved configuration or paid status does not start that period. Read the refund page for the complete eligibility and request process.
Renewals, annual orders and cancellation after that window have no automatic commercial pro-rata refund under the current policy. Separate service failures and any mandatory rights are reviewed under the applicable conditions. The comparison does not decide refund eligibility or create a payment.
The SilentVPS website is publicly accessible and presents a target VPS catalogue. Production availability, transaction detection and server provisioning still require validation. Consult the facts page and current ordering conditions before treating a configuration as a delivered service.
